In reply to thegrandphantasmagoria. The idea is that the Archons want to remove all choice and uncertainty from reality. One of the ways the Archons do this is by revealing prophesies and visions to Seers (prophets, fortune tellers, and psychics). Such prophesies are actually just the Archons' designs for the future, which they want to be treated as unavoidable facts. In fact, the Archons need to manipulate events constantly to make reality conform to their plan. So, every time someone divines the future, they are actually furthering the Archons' agenda.
